It commits to one art direction, then designs to it.

Not nine variations you have to judge. LumenDesign settles concept, palette, type pairing and depth language first — then composes the piece to that direction and proofs its own work.

Free, no card. Every editor is free, with no trial timer — and a free account gets Lumen Core plus a monthly AI allowance.

What it does

An art director, a template library and a proof reader.

Design tools give you a canvas. This one also decides what the piece should look like, builds it, and then looks at the render to catch what a proof review would catch.

Features

One direction, locked before anything is drawn

art_direct settles the concept, palette, type pairing and depth language up front. Everything after it is composed to that decision instead of drifting.

  • Concept and palette chosen together, not per element
  • Type pairing and depth language fixed early
  • Brand kits applied so it is your palette, not a generic one
LumenAgent, inside LumenDesign

A launch poster, planned in five phases.

Design and Video are the two editors with a real planner, so the run shows its phases as it goes. It stops once — before spending your AI allowance on a generated image.

Connected

It designs from your real documents.

The copy on a poster should come from the one-pager that already exists, not from a model’s guess at what you sell. The library bridge is how it gets there.

Step oneIt reads across everything

search_library searches every saved document — PDFs, sheets, decks, boards, forms and notebooks — not just the one that is open.

Step twoIt hands work to the right editor

work_on_document passes the job to that document’s own AI, so a spreadsheet is built by the spreadsheet engine rather than guessed at from outside.

Step threeIt turns the board into something else

create_document spins up a new doc, sheet, PDF, deck or note from what it just made, and opens it in the right editor.

In detail

What LumenDesign actually does.

Making things

Purpose-built builders, not one generic call.

  • Posters, cards, marketing and campaigns
  • Logos and full logo systems, plus brand sheets
  • Carousels, mockups, QR codes, calendars
  • Diagrams — timelines, funnels, pyramids, Venn

Art direction

The decisions that make a piece coherent.

  • One direction locked before composition starts
  • Palette generation and theme application
  • Brand kits saved, reapplied, or read from a URL
  • Template library to start from something real

Photos and finishing

The last ten percent that usually gets skipped.

  • Enhance, clean and grade photos in place
  • Overlap and contrast checks on real geometry
  • Magic resize across platform ratios
  • Preflight before publishing
Questions

LumenDesign questions.

Is LumenDesign free?

The editor is, with no trial timer and no watermark, and a free account includes Lumen Core and a monthly AI allowance. Generating images with AI draws on that allowance — which is exactly why the demo above stops and asks before doing it, and why declining still produces a finished poster.

What are the five phases in the demo?

They are the real execution plan. LumenDesign classifies the request and builds a plan whose phases depend on the engine and the complexity — Brief, Direct, Compose, Polish and Review here. Explore and Deliver are added for a complex brief on a deeper engine, and Fast never shows a Review phase it will not run. The plan advances on real tool calls, not a timer.

Does it actually look at what it made?

Yes. render_board rasterises the board and the model looks at the result, and lint_design and check_overlaps run deterministic checks over the real geometry. Worth knowing: a deterministic score reports defects, not whether the work is any good — it is a floor, not a verdict.

Can it use my brand?

Save a brand kit once — palette, type and logos — and later pieces are composed to it. You can also seed a kit by pointing it at a URL, and save individual assets as presets for reuse.
