Where these rows come from. The ChatGPT column is taken from OpenAI’s published plan page and its own feature-comparison table; the “Go may include ads” note is their wording, not ours. The Claude column is taken from Anthropic’s Claude Cowork page, which states that Cowork is included with a paid plan and returns work for your review. Both are capable products and both are better than us at being a chat assistant — the rows above are about document work, which is the only thing this page claims. Questions people ask before switching
Do I have to cancel ChatGPT or Claude to use LumenQube?
No, and we would not suggest it as the first move. They are better than us at being a chat assistant; this page is only about document work. Every one of the eleven LumenQube editors is free, so you can install it, do a week of real work alongside whatever you already pay for, and only then decide whether either subscription is still earning its money.
What does $14.99 buy that a chat subscription does not?
A saved file instead of a chat reply. LumenAgent plans the work, drives the actual editors and leaves a PDF, spreadsheet, document or deck on your disk that you can open and take over. A chat subscription returns text you then have to rebuild into the document you needed — and neither chat plan in the table above includes a PDF, spreadsheet, slide or design editor at all.
Is the free tier a trial that expires?
No. There is no timer, no watermark and no feature held back inside the editors themselves — all eleven work at no cost for as long as you use them, including offline editing, autosave and version history. The paid plans buy AI allowance and the stronger engines, not access to the app.
Does LumenQube train AI on my documents?
No, not by default. Your files live on your own disk rather than in our storage, and what you send to an AI engine is metered on screen while you work, so the amount leaving your machine is never a guess.
What still works when I am offline?
All eleven editors, on every plan, including autosave and version history — the documents are already on your machine. The AI engines run as a service, so anything AI-powered, LumenAgent included, needs a connection.
How current are the prices and rows on this page?
